Do your homework!
Every morning as you wake, start recording your experience or I guarantee you will forget it.
There’s nothing magical about writing it down, but it forces you to go over the experience in detail to recall everything you can. Often you’ll read your own journal entry later and won’t even remember writing parts of it.
If you don’t write it down right away, at least go over it all in your mind, as soon as you wake, before you get out of bed. If you don’t, you will forget it. For whatever reason, you have to anchor the memories physically or they disappear.
I tend not to write down my non-lucid dreams. I might not even think much of them. But you might find it beneficial to write down every single one.
As you recall a projection, it tends to be easier starting from the end. With each piece you’ll remember what happened before that.
